Dutch Film Composers

DFC stands for Dutch Film Composers, a group of Dutch film composers dedicated to advancing the material and non-material interests of Dutch television and film composers, both domestically and internationally. DFC encourages and facilitates creative and social contact and the exchange of knowledge among its members and colleagues in the film industry.

Founded in 2011, DFC seeks regular dialogue with national and international organizations such as the Netherlands Film Festival, Buma/Stemra, and Sena. DFC is part of BCMM, the Professional Association of Multimedia Composers.

DFC membership is by invitation from existing members and is subject to conditions that safeguard the professionalism and quality of the membership. All members work at a high level in the Netherlands or abroad on films and television series, spanning both documentary and fiction. DFC composers are committed to the professional practice of film composing and the continuous exchange and improvement of technical, business, and creative working methods.
